AN EXCEPTIONAL ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY BIOETHANOL MANUFACTURING PLANT

BioWanze, a subsidiary of the European Crop Energies group, is an innovative and unique "environmentally-friendly" wheat and beet-based bioethanol production model. An annual production target of 300,000 m³ of bioethanol is due to be achieved within a few months' time: 125,000 m³ earmarked for the Belgian market and the rest for the export market. The unique production concept is based on a nigh-on complete energy efficiency process, where the wheat membrane is recovered as a fuel. All the raw material components are due to be exploited. Apart from alcohol production, BioWanze is set to market protein-rich ingredients for food or feed.
