2008 was a historical year in terms of volumes for the Liège Port Authority. The river traffic as well as the overall traffic broke absolute records.
16,031,031 tons of goods were transported over the river (+1.5% compared to 2007). The Port Authority also recorded an overall traffic of 21,801,946 tons (+558,281 tons compared to 2007, or +2.63%), all means of transport taken together (wagons, lorries, boats).
