Our port facilities

The Port of Liege's first rate facilities are linked to the Liege region's outstanding river, road, rail and airport network. The Liege Port Authority is admirably suitable for loading, unloading, storage and handling all kinds of goods: construction materials, ores, bulk goods, chemicals, steel, farm and petroleum products, general merchandise and containers.

The Port of Liege offers :

  • 26 km of quay berthing;
  • Port sites covering 370 ha;
  • A covered dock of 1 ha
  • Regular direct links with the United Kingdom for coastal vessels of between 1,000 and 2,500 t;
  • Roll on/roll-off quay;
  • Accessibility for vessels from the Rhine (2,500 t) and two-barge tow boats (4,500 t);
  • Offshore docking facilities;
  • Storage tanks for oil products (194,000 m³);
  • 97 cranes and gantry cranes, ground handling equipment;
  • 35 weighbridges;
  • 70 large-scale storage/handling warehouses covering a total of roughly 15 ha;
  • 2 container terminals;
  • Grain silos with a total capacity of 50,000 m³;
  • Sand and gravel hoppers with a total capacity of 60,000 t.
